4 Tips To Help You Get Motivated And Stay Motivated

“I think it all comes down to motivation. If you really want to do something, you will work hard for it.” —Edmund Hillary

Motivation, the willingness or desire to do something, can be tricky. Some people, no
matter how hard they try, cannot seem to find motivation, while others can pull it out of
thin air. If you are the type of person that struggles with motivation then this post is for
you.
I’m going to share with you a few simple tips and habits to help you on your journey to
find motivation.

1. Start being productive first thing in the morning.

There’s nothing like starting your day out right. Accomplishing a task first thing in the
morning will give you a sense of achievement that will lead to motivation, that will last
throughout the day. It doesn’t have to be anything big, in fact, you can start being
productive before even getting out of bed. For example, responding to emails or social
media messages while still tucked into your blankets.

If there’s something that needs to be done that you can do in 5 minutes or less, do it first
thing in the morning before you even drink your morning coffee. By doing this you will
get yourself in the right mindset to be productive throughout the day.

“People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing—that’s why we recommend it daily.” —Zig Ziglar

2. Write a list

Having your daily tasks written down on a piece of paper not only helps you keep track
of what needs to be done, but also gives you a place to start. A lot of people don't get
anything accomplished because they don’t have a plan.

Having a to-do list will make you more productive and more efficient, and there is
nothing more satisfying than crossing a task off of your to-do list. The more productive

you are, the more motivated you will be. If you can be productive I promise you will find
motivation.

“Rename your “To-Do” list to your “Opportunities” list. Each day is a treasure chest filled with limitless opportunities; take joy in checking many off your list.” ― Steve Maraboli

3. Inspiration

Inspiration, in my opinion, is the key to motivation. You can find inspiration in many
different things like art, nature, or a good book. Try taking an online business course,
reading a motivational book, or listening to podcasts that align with your goals.
Whatever it is that inspires you, do it. If you can find inspiration, then motivation will
naturally follow. These two go hand-in-hand.

“Inspiration is the greatest gift because it opens your life to many new possibilities. Each day becomes more meaningful, and your life is enhanced when your actions are guided by what inspires you.”
‒‒ Bernie Siegel

4. Tell your friends

If you have a dream, a goal, or something that you would like to accomplish, tell people
about it. Tell your family, tell your friends, post it on Facebook, because nothing will get
you more motivated to do something than telling the whole world that you are going to
do it. Sharing your goals with your peers and loved ones is a great way to motivate
yourself to actually achieve them.

By following these 4 simple steps you should be able to find the motivation needed to
achieve your goals. If you don’t have any goals set I urge you to make a list. Without
goals, we accomplish nothing.
